T-Mobile myTouch 3G is also on the Android 2.1 bandwagon

As we've seen the T-Mobile myTouch 3G get a facelift with its most recent incarnation, now it's looking likely that the Android powered smartphone will be getting a makeover with Android 2.1 some time in the future. The tidbit of news comes from Andre Sherrard, VP of Production Innovation for T-Mobile, as he stated that Android 2.1 is in the testing phase and will become available to handset owners via over-the-air process – assuming that it passes quality assurance protocols. Now what makes it a more interesting update is that it'll include the much beloved Sense UI and the upcoming Genius feature that's going to be prominent on the upcoming T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide. In a world where power packed Android handsets like the HTC Droid Incredible and EVO 4G are expected to dominate the airwaves, the second Android device to hit the US market looks to be up-to-date with the latest version of the platform.

The re-launch Mytouch with the 3.5 headphone jack will be able to support it.
