T-Mobile is offering free calls to Haiti
In the wake of the tragic events that unfolded in Haiti, T-Mobile is offering some solace during this period of recovery and rebuilding. T-Mobile USA has announced that calls made to or received from Haiti would not be charged to aid those in the earthquake crisis. Customers will continue to have free calling to Haiti until the end of the month and also applied retroactively for calls made on January 12th. Not ending there, T-Mobile customers that are roaming internationally in Haiti will also benefit by not being charged to make and receive phone calls – easily taking the usual exorbitant cost out of the minds of individuals. Finally, the wireless provider pledged their support to send over telecommunications equipment that includes generators and phones to aid and help rebuild the wireless infrastructure. Even in the most tragic unfolding of events, the compassionate side of T-Mobile is quite notable.
