T-Mobile restored service for all customers at around 11:46 PM ET on July 27.

We have fully restored service for all customers and sincerely apologize for the difficulties. We know that customers rely on us to stay connected to what matters most, and we appreciate their understanding as we prioritized resolution.

T-Mobile tells us that the technical problems are impacting only some users. The company is currently deploying a fix.

T-Mobile is down for many across the US, according to users' complaints.

The entire US is affected

T-Mobile customers flocked to social media websites to report the outage.

The outage started around 4:15 PM ET. As of 5:15 PM ET, service was down for an estimated 63,344 customers.

According to data from outage tracking site Down Detector, most metropolitan cities seem to be affected. The problem doesn't seem to be centered in one region, indicating a possible nationwide outage.

The cause isn't known at this time, but both cellular and internet services appear to have been knocked out.

For many, service appears to be flashing in and out, suggesting T-Mobile is actively trying to fix the problem but is unable to resuscitate the network.

Outages are unavoidable and no operator is immune. What's making this doubly frustrating for T-Mobile users is that the company recently yanked an estimated 8 million people off their old plans, resulting in a price hike for many. Customers aren't exactly thrilled that their network buckled right after that.

T-Mobile has confirmed to us that it's aware of the blackout. The company is investigating the matter and will update us soon.
