T-Mobile UK pushes out Android 2.2 Froyo update for the HTC Desire
0
Good news for T-Mobile UK owners sporting an HTC Desire as it appears as though the carrier has started to roll out the much wanted Android 2.2 Froyo update to owners. Although the Eclair update wasn't a simultaneous launch process over in Europe, it has slowly been going live through various mobile operators for the better part of the last month. Vodafone already released their update, while O2 UK customers briefly saw it go live before being completely shut down by the carrier after hearing reports about some owners experiencing technical difficulties with it.

Now that we've been introduced to two of the latest top notch Android handsets that share the same moniker, the HTC Desire HD and Z, it was only fitting to see the original Desire get some love as well. Handset owners will have to wait until that OTA notification pops up on their device indicating that they can download the update. But before proceeding to install it, just double check and make sure all of your data is backed up.
