T-Mobile Germany's MDA Vario II is the HTC Hermes
There have been some speculations on the net whether the new T-Mobile MDA Vario II Pocket PC phone from T-Mobile Germany is their version of HTC Hermes or not. Now it is more or less confirmed by a T-Mobile's German press release. There's still not much information about the device itself, besides that it features full QWERTY keyboard, large color display that can be used in a landscape mode and a 2.1 mega pixels camera. It is also mentioned that T-Mobile MDA Vario II is expected to be available this summer.
According to previous rumors, revealed back in October 2005, the HTC Hermes is very much similar to HTC Wizard. Besides the features mentioned above, it was reported to support quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS and even HSDPA, a second camera for video calls, 416 MHz Intel processor as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity.
