Supposed iPhone 5 screen demoed on video: taller, thinner
One thing you can’t complain about is iPhone news, rumors and legal twists. And here is another one that looks very legitimate. ETrade Supply got their hands on the glass lens of the new iPhone and it is just what we heard it would be - a 4-inch panel with the front camera moved to the center just above the earpiece.

In a nutshell, the iPhone 5 screen is iPhone 5 screen is a bit taller, ever so slightly thinner, and more resistant to scratches than the screen on the iPhone 4S. Interestingly, the home key is now also changed slightly so it’s not compatible with the new iPhone.

Is this Apple feeding the rumor mill with all those same looking prototypes or do we really have a breach in Apple security? We’ll probably know in a month, but in the meantime check out the video demonstration of what’s supposed to be the iPhone 5 screen below.

Haha, trying to beat the Galaxy SIII with that is like bringing a sword to a gunfight. Classy, but still outdated and useless against guns.

Apple is so stupid. This will make the phone look horrendous.

I hardly think apple is stupid. Far too successful of a company to b stupid.

Yup...very successful company indeed. They have their customers right where they want them - under control and oblivious.

Google to a much higher degree, judging by the comments.

I couldn't agree more. With the large bezel at the top and bottom, combined with a tall 16:9 aspect ratio, the phone will be hideous. I sure hope for Apple's sake that all these images and rumors are incorrect. Go to a 4" screen with current 3:2 aspect ratio and the phone will look great and sell like hotcakes. Ball is in your court Apple. Screw it up, or do it right??

Haha, more like : "Now you can have 1 MORE extra row of apps in each homescreen! It's never been done on any iPhone before! Revolutionary!"

The phone really does look horribly elongated and out of proportion. If all these leaks are correct we have an iphone 4$ part deux it looks like. 3 years in a row with essentially the exact same phone design and software can sure not appease drooling ifans can it?

Well, according to other tech sites, this simple elongation & re-positioning the camera and earphone jack is considered a "major design change". So yeah, like I've said before, Apple could re-release the 1st gen iPhone as the new iPhone and iFans will still buy it.
