Support page shows Google Play gift cards are U.K. bound
Back in August, we told you that the Google Play gift cards were official in the U.S. Since then, the cards have been an exclusive in the states. That exclusivity seems to be coming to an end. A support page in the U.K. has gone up with information about the cards. The only problem is, a link to a list of participating retailers in the U.K. comes up dead. That means that either the support page went up too early, or perhaps it shouldn't have gone up at all. We will go with door number one here, and we would imagine that the launch of the cards in the region should not too far away.
While the cards in the U.S. are available in denominations of $10, $15, $25 and $50, the support page lists U.K. cards available in the amounts of £10, £25 and £50. The information on the page also informs users that they cannot use the cards to purchase hardware (think Google Nexus 4), but can be used to make premium app, or in-app purchases.
