Sprint launches Sanyo VI-2300
Sprint and Sanyo have announced the availability of the Sprint PCS Vision Phone VI-2300. Coming initially in Silver and later in Blue Ice, Graphite, Champagne Rose, Satin Red and Deep Forest Green color, it joins Sanyo SCP-200 (introduced last month) in the company's attempt to offer mobile phones in a wide variety of colors. Sanyo VI-2300 will be available at the cost of $189.99 or $39.99 after rebate with a new term service agreement. The main features of the tri-mode CDMA/AMPS device are:
- dual displays
- WAP 2.0 Internet browser
- Java support
- Push-to-Talk button
- built-in Speakerphone
- Voice recording and dialing
Related to the introduction of Sanyo VI-2300, Sprint also announced the launch of a new line of color-coordinated accessories for fashion-savvy customers. These accessories include headsets and carrying cases in colors designed to match the new phones, including pink, navy, red, black and royal blue. Bundles, featuring a colored handset case, matching headset and vehicle power charger, are also available at the price of $49.99.
