Sprint customers are offered free movie rentals from FandangoNOW

Sprint is trying to prevent customers from switching to another carrier, and what better way to do that than offering them some freebies. Starting today, Sprint customers can rent movies from the FandangoNOW on-demand video streaming service without paying a dime.

The promotion is available until March 4 or while supplies last, but Sprint's announcement says that customers can “rent a free movie.” In order to benefit from the deal, you'll have to download the My Sprint Rewards app on the Apple or Google Play stores, depending on what smartphone you're using.

Then, enter the phone number associated with your Sprint account to receive a one-time text message with a four-digit PIN, which you'll have to enter along with your brief registration information, including your name, email address, and ZIP code.

Finally, search under Sprint Rewards and follow the step-by-step guide to redeem the FandangoNOW code that will allow you to rent a movie for free. You'll be able to watch the movie at home or on-the-go on your Smart TV and streaming players, computer or phone.
