Spotify updated for Apple iPhone and Apple iPad users
Music lovers using Spotify on their Apple iPhone and Apple iPad have received an update to the app that adds some new features. Browse mode, which has been on the iPhone, now comes to the iPad replacing What's New. This feature allows you to find a playlist for any occasion. The example that Spotify shows in a joking manner is "Music to eat tacos to, anyone?" The other new feature with the update allows you to track artists to see when new releases are coming, and track friends to see what they have on their playlists. Actually, that feature is available only for the iPad right now, but will soon be made available for the iPhone.
The download, which weighs in at 34.3MB, brings the usual bug fixes and performance enhancements. The Spotify update also includes a streamlined sign-in and a new interface for playlists, which is coming first to iPad users and will eventually hit the iPhone. The secret/private toggle for playlists is now on both the Apple iPhone and Apple iPad.
For the app to work, you need to have a $9.99 a month subscription to Spotify. The updates are being send out on a staggered basis, so if doesn't come today or tomorrow, don't worry. The update will soon arrive.
