Sonic CD is Apple's free app of the week

Apple's free iOS app of the week is Sonic CD. In the game, Sonic becomes a time traveling hedgehog given the task of destroying Dr. Eggman and freeing up the future. The usual Sonic trappings are included as players will be controlling Sonic as he collects rings, bounces off springs and more. The app includes the U.S. and Japanese soundtracks. This particular game features the evil Metal Sonic.

Sonic CD requires players to have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 8.0 or higher. While the game is free for the next four days, you still are responsible for any in-app purchases. Sonic CD has just received an update that takes the game to version 2.0.1, which weighs in at 197MB.
