Small security update sent out for Motorola DROID RAZR HD and Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD
It's no big deal when you see it and it certainly isn't Android 4.1, so you might as well end those thoughts now. Verizon does have a very small update for those with the new Motorola DROID RAZR HD or its longer battery life companion, the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD. The update is only 6MB in size, so you can grasp at how small the file really is. And what it contains is an updated Google security patch. That's all. For those who keep tabs on such things, it will be software version 0.7.2.XT926.Verizon.en.US.

Since the update is coming OTA, Verizon implores you to have a good Wi-Fi or cellular signal and says to budget 3 to 5 minutes of your life for the update to download. Installation onto your device should take another 3-5 minutes. While it installs, you won't be able to use your phone, even to make an emergency call.

At the end of the few minutes it takes to install the update, you should feel better knowing that your Motorola DROID RAZR HD or Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD is now once again secure.
