Here's how you can score free McDonald's fries just for using Apple Pay
There might be no such thing as a free lunch, but there are free fries. Spotted by 9to5Mac, McDonald's and Apple are teaming up to give iOS users in the U.S. a free medium order of fries each Friday this month (there are three left) when they use Apple Pay in the McDonald's iOS app and place a mobile order for more than $1.

Back in May, Apple offered $1 tacos from Taco Bell and $5 discount on movie tickets through Fandango for those using Apple Pay. To use the service, you first need to add the credit card(s) you are going to have associated with Apple Pay. On the iPhone, open the Wallet app and start adding these cards. On the iPad, go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay. On the Apple Watch, open the Watch app and tap on the tab marked My Watch on the bottom left of the screen. Scroll down to Wallet & Apple Pay > Tap Add Card. After you're done compiling your order on the McDonald's app, select Apple Pay as your payment option. You will have to verify your identity by using Touch ID or Face ID when checking out.

Apple reportedly receives .15% of the amount of each purchase made using Apple Pay. That means the company gets 15 cents for every $100 that is rung up using its mobile payment service. Apple Pay is part of Apple's Services unit, the tech giant's second-largest and most profitable division.

As we said, there are only three Friday's left in the month starting tomorrow. If you have a thing for McDonald's, why not make July 12th, July 19th and July 26th your free friesdays (see what we did there).
