Saturday only, Best Buy gives you a free Apple iPhone 5 with a trade-in of your Apple iPhone 4/4S

Ready to replace your Apple iPhone 4 or Apple iPhone 4S with an Apple iPhone 5? Check out Best Buy on Saturday. On that day only, the big box electronics retailer will give you $150 credit for trading in a working Apple iPhone 4 or Apple iPhone 4S, toward the purchase of an Apple iPhone 5. Essentially, after Best Buy's recent $50 price cut on all iPhone models, you will be getting the Apple iPhone 5 for free. To be eligible for the trade-in, you must have an upgrade burning a hole in your pocket for AT&T, Verizon or  Sprint, or be moving over to one of those three carriers. The deal is available in store only and the customer is responsible for taxes and activation.

It is a bit unusual to see Best Buy pushing iPhones out the door unless there is a new model ready to take the place of the older models on the store's shelves. So should we assume from Best Buy's behavior that a new Apple iPhone is coming sooner than we think? Nah, it is just that Apple's iconic smartphone has some tough competition this year with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One. And down the road there is the loaded HTC T6 phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the other variants of the Android flagship model like the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom and the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini.
