Sapphire Blue Moto G5 leaks out, Internet still obsessed with Product Red iPhone

Sapphire Blue Moto G5 leaks out, Internet still obsessed with Product Red iPhone
Ever thought the Moto G5 lacked a bit of Blue at launch? You are not the only one. That's why Lenovo is prepping to launch the affordable phone in a "Blue Sapphire" color variant sometime soon.

Promotional images of the handset showed up online, presenting a very blue Moto G5. It's so blue, it'd sing about baby leaving it while wailing away on a rusty harmonica.

Still, it could turn out to be a breath of fresh air among the onslaught of crimson red phones that will inevitably follow Apple's latest announcement in a few months.

No changes beyond the superficial ones are expected. The Moto G5 has a 5-inch, 1080p resolution screen and is powered by the modest Snapdragon 430 processor with 2GB of RAM and up to 32GB of expandable storage. It also offers a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front cam. The phone is currently sold in Fine Gold and Lunar Gray.

The Moto G5 starts at about $229 unlocked, which is probably what the Blue Sapphire version will cost, too. However, there are no clues towards when the smartphone will be released. Only the images below.

I am in Sweden and I have bought this, Moto G5! It has NO compass and NO Gorilla glass, and even though it has a partially metal backpanel it feels plastic/cheap!

It's hard to sympathize for you since you didn't do your homework about this phone. You can find all the information about this phone on this website, but you chose not to look it up. You can't complain about it, then

The Moto G5 and the G5 plus have a compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, fingerprint reader, and proximity. Not to mention it has gorilla glass 3. But clearly we know Gandalfdenvite is trolling, and doesn't own a G5. He could have gone to the website and check that information out. If it didn't have a compass and gorilla glass 3. The Lenovo (Motorola) would be brought up for miss guiding the public. As far as this article trying to compare the Moto G5 ($229) vs an iPhone 7 ($1029). It's actually kind of funny that the G5 has a higher density, higher resolution display compared to the low resolution display of the iPhone 7 that costs 5 times as much as the Moto G5.

I guess articles like this are trying to show how ridiculous the iPhone 7 pricing really is.

Moto G5 do NOT have any compass, and Moto G5 do NOT have Gorilla glass, that is a fact! I have Moto G5 in my pocket right now! Yes Lenovo, and GSMArena and... are miss guiding the public! I know thet YOU do NOT own any Moto G5 because then you would know I am right!

I would have bought Moto G5 anyway because I like the gestures that can be used on the fingerprint reader, and I love that the fingerprint reader can be used to both turn on and off the phone! Others are misslead to believe Moto G5, and G5 Plus have a compass while the fact is that they do NOT have any magnetic sensor, compass, and I want to warn anyone who consider buing it because they thing it has a campass, magnetic sensor! I also have Moto G4 Plus but the micro-usb connection broke when i dropped to the floor during charging, so it can no longer connect to any computer...!

according to lenovo forums, only the single SIM version has compass/magnetometer, the dual SIM version doesn't have it. otoh, the single sim version doesn't have NFC, but the dual SIM version has it. don't ask me why...

Best thing about it, unlike the blue Pixel, the screen side is black.

I was about to say the same. This is how Google/ HTC should have made the Really Blue version of their phone as it blends well. I'd like to see a black version of this phone with red accents like in the camera ring or antenna lines. as well.

Why can't both colors be stunning at the same time? Also in what world will people who want to buy the G5 would also buy the Product RED iPhone? Only the small percent of people who would consider buying the G5 as a secondary or backup phone.

Apparently you are obsessed with iPhone. Is it really hard just reporting relevant phone? That is not even an iPhone rival.
