Samsung also with an app store

More news coming from Samsung! At this year's MWC, the South Korean giant will become the latest manufacturer that's going to offer its own online application store for mobile phones. Samsung Mobile Applications, as it is called, will be initially focused on the UK market, already loaded with 1,100 applications. Samsung definitely deserves some applause here, since it has applied a developer-friendly policy by making registration and distribution of apps completely free of charge. On the site you'll find applications for both Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile, but the official source is also mentioning a future upgrade, coming later in 2009, which may be a hint that the manufacturer is planning to try its luck with some other operating system…

More details on Samsung Mobile Applications will be available at the MWC expo coming in a few days, when, we hope to see a lot of useful and fun apps.
