Samsung Launches SGH-i320

Samsung has announced its launch of the SGH-i320 - a new Slim QWERTY Smartphone. It was initially presented at the 3GSM World Congress 2006 but later it was removed from their booth and its official introduction was postponed. The SGH-i320 will be launched in Europe this month.

The device is based on Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. Measuring just 111 x 59 x 11.5mm and weighing 95g, the device appears to be both thinner and lighter than Motorola Q and at the same time its design reminds of a Blackberry phone. The main features of the tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) device, are:

  • 2.2-inch QVGA 65k color TFT display
  • Bluetooth
  • full QWERTY keyboard
  • 1.3 mega pixels camera with video capture
  • GPRS/EDGE high-speed data
  • Push Email (Messaging & Security Feature Pack)
  • MP3/AAC/AAC+/WMA/WAV/OGG support
  • 120MB User Memory
  • MicroSD memory expansion slot
  • Bluetooth/USB/Voice recognition
