Samsung Galaxy S4 Active brings its rugged self to South Korea
The rugged version of Samsung's flagship Android smartphone is now available in the manufacturer's backyard of South Korea. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active can be purchased by customers of carrier SK Telecom and will offer some changes to the international version of the model. Instead of the quad-core 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor under the hood, this version of the Active is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU with support for LTE-A.
In addition, the 8MP snapper on the back has been replaced with a 13MP camera and the 16GB of native storage found on the international Active has been doubled to 32GB. With an IP 67 certification, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active can be submerged in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes, and still surface in perfect working condition. The device is also resistant to dust.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is priced in South Korea at 899,000 Won ($854 USD).
