Samsung Galaxy J3 Star lands at T-Mobile, priced to sell for $175
Samsung announced the affordable Galaxy J3 and Galaxy J7 will be available for purchase in the United States but did not reveal any info about price and release. It appears that T-Mobile has already started selling one of the two entry-level handsets, but the carrier is using a slightly different name.

Samsung Galaxy J3 Star

The Galaxy J3 Star is T-Mobile's own version of the Samsung Galaxy J3 but with LTE band 71 support. The rest of the phone's specs are decent enough for its $175 outright price. In case you can't afford the full retail price, T-Mobile offers the Galaxy J3 Star for $7 down and $7 per month for 24 months.

Even though it's an entry-level smartphone, the Galaxy J3 Star runs Android 8.0 Oreo right out of the box. The rest of the phone's specs include a 5-inch HD display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel selfie snapper, and a 2,600 mAh battery.

When it comes to hardware, the Galaxy J3 Star is far from being impressive, as the smartphone packs a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB expandable storage. Although the phone shows “out of stock” now, it should go on sale at T-Mobile this week.
