improve picture quality quite a bit. The update brings added features to the Messaging system, as well as better and more reliable Bluetooth performance, better and more reliable device boots, better battery management, and the nebulous "additional platform updates and enhancements", which likely refers to issues of freezing and random reboots that have been reported. As we saw yesterday, this update should help to fix issues with fuzzy pictures on the Lumia 920, and could
The update is available now for users in the US and Canada, and Nokia says it will be made available internationally starting in February. And, remember, WP8 now does over-the-air (OTA) updates, so you don't have to connect to your computer to get the update. Just make sure you're on WiFi and go to Settings --> Phone Update --> Check For Updates, and follow the instructions. When it's all done just check Settings --> About to confirm your Software Version is1232.5951.1249.0001.

The portico update on the 8X had wifi when screen off does the Nokia Lumia 920 have that too? It would be natural to assume so but I haven't seen any article mentioning it.

Messaging improvements. A great messaging experience is now even better. You can now add multiple recipients at the same time when you send a text message and automatically save unsent text messages as drafts. You can even edit received text messages before you forward them. Text replies to incoming calls. Can’t take a call? Now you can send a prewritten text reply to a caller directly from the call answer screen. It’s a nice way to let people know that you’re not ignoring them. Internet Explorer improvements. You can now change your settings to prevent pictures from downloading automatically—an easy way to help keep data usage low. You can also delete selected sites from your browsing history and leave the rest intact. Wi-Fi connectivity. Got a favorite Wi-Fi network? Windows Phone 8 will now prioritize Wi-Fi connections based on your connection history. Other improvements. Includes many other improvements to Windows Phone.

hey people. I understand you, I am glad for Nokia that it's quick to bring updates. Sammy have got a new rival in imaging technology. But the camera in phone is not that important, the principal feature is versatility of os. Wp is very limited and restricted. MS have chosen the wrong way to be proprietary like Apple.

They may be proprietary but they're not as locked down as ios. At least Microsoft lets its hardware manufacturers make their own phones (that meet minimum specs) and come up with their own software tweaks and add-ons. The day apple does that I'll, well, why even plan for the impossible?
