Report: Apple iPad Air 2 slated for release next month with 2015 launch for next iPad mini
A report out of Taiwan says that Apple will launch the second-generation Apple iPad Air tablet next month. Earlier this month, speculation pointed to an October 21st unveiling of the Apple iPad Air 2. In August, word out of China had the iPad Air 2 wielding 2GB of RAM. That would double the amount of RAM see on last year's iPad Air tablet, and would also double the amount of RAM found on the Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus  handsets.

The Apple iPad Air 2 is expected to feature Touch ID, an A8 processor, and a redesigned speaker allowing for a thinner tablet. The M8 motion coprocessor is also expected on board.

While early rumors had the 9.7 inch iPad Air 2 launching together with the next iteration of the 7.9 inch Apple iPad mini, the new report on Monday reveals that the smaller screened slate will be released sometime next year. Also next year, a 12.9 inch version of the tablet, the Apple iPad Pro, is rumored to start up production in the second quarter, with a launch expected not too long afterward.

I doubt the iPad Air 2 will get 2GB of RAM. Unfortunately.. Anyways, why haven't they released a new iPod Touch?

That would double the amount of RAM, and double the amount of money to get it! No thanks Apple

if the RAM is 2GB, it would be super fast but i am not sure iOS need that big of RAM since right now its already fast enough

Maybe Apple will give the iPad mini retina a better screen and better audio output this time around.
