Rdio for Android matches iOS version with new update
Rdio for Android has just received an update that matches the new features recently added to the iOS version of the app. One new feature allows you to get recommendations on what music to listen to. These recommendations come from The Echo Nest’s library of music and are based on albums you listen to in addition to stations and playlists enjoyed by others in your area.
In addition, the app now sports a new three track display for the Stations Player. This shows you the cover art for the previously played track, the current track and the next one. You can swipe to skip the current tune and move on to the next one. And as usual with these updates, there are bug fixes and performance enhancements as well as an updated UI.
The self-titled social jukebox has more than 20 million tunes and will cost you $9.99 a month. If you haven't received notification of the update, it should be waiting for you next time you visit the Google Play Store.
