Poll: Do you like the design of the new Pixel phones?

Well, the Pixels have finally been revealed and... well, we knew what they are going to look like, thanks to numerous spot-on leaks. Still, after the Google event — we can say that everything about the phone is clear now.

That little glass panel on the back has been quite peculiar ever since we first saw it. Some have speculated that the phone might have a touchpad on its back, others thought that it was an unfinished part of the handset. But nope, turns out it's just a shiny area that's supposed to look awesome.

Half familiar, half weird and innovative, we do have to say that the Pixel phones look like their own thing, and for that we applaud Google. But are they liked? What's your take on the design?

Do you like the design of the Pixel phones?

Oh, yes!
I suppose I can live with it...
No, they look pretty awful!

The design is meh at best. That being said, the iphone 7 blows this out of the water in the looks department tbh heck even the htc a9 destroys this phone on looks too.. Not like so many will agree on this site anyway. I guess the best designed google phone still remains the nexus 4 and the best designed google phone remains the galaxy Note 7

Many on this site might not agree, but almost everyone on other sites will agree with you. It is unattractive in the official pictures, but you ll get to realize how hideous it looks as soon as you see the hands on videos. And I dont care what others might say, but it is a shameful attempt by Google to release a phone that looks a lot like an iPhone, except that they failed miserably.

Better yet, they followed iPhone pricing with a device that will be sending every shred of data about how you use it back to Google to serve you more ads. At lower prices, it was a better value proposition if you wanted a version of Android without a heavy skin. Now you will be paying a Galaxy/iPhone prices to still get data mined 24/7, with a small portion of the Samsung accessories and a sliver of the accessories available to the iPhone. People discount that last point, but the XDA forums are full of threads of people scrounging for accessories...unless they own a Galaxy.

Should have put a home button on the body and not on the screen as losing much of the screen spoils the look of this phone, like to see how the Snapdragon 821 chips preforms as this chip should have been used by Samsung on the Note 7 to make it different from there S7 models but rushing out the Note 7 just because of they wanted another Top phone out to compete more with the Apple iPhone 7 phones as caused them more trouble instead of praise

I can live with it. It's not the most hideous but it also isn't super attractive either.

The is the ugliest phone I have seen lately I rather stick with my nexus 6p than this awful looking phone. After jabbing apple for not having stereo speakers now Apple iPhone 7 has stereo speakers and this thing doesn't. Google should just stick to software and leave the hardware to the pros

Not really. Bezels are too big, and I don't like the back. But that's the least important aspect, since I'd be using a case regardless.

I love it, the subtle look is exactly what I want in a phone, just pure simplicity. Thank you Google, finally after all these years, and iPhone of Androids. Price is way too high, the base price is 1079 here in Australia. Should have been 600.

While not terrible looking, Google could've done better. They made a phone, that looks like an iPhone 5C, just with a white front vs a black one. C'mon el Goog. At least it has good specs, and 7.0. It's slightly over priced, but doable. What's with all the wasted bottom space though?

Ok, I'm just gonna say it. They should call these phones the Google iPixel, and iPixel XL.

They should call the big one megapixel. But yes, the front really resembles the iPhone.

When google is going to learn that on-screen navigation on this design with humongous chin is not helping ... Capacitive buttons would help hide this ridiculously humongous chin to some extent ... I wasn't happy with nexus 6p top and bottom bezels, but the front facing speaker grill helped hiding the bottom bezel and in the end I got used to it ... Now, this design is atrocious ...

Still can't believe how ugly this is. I'm really trying hard to like it but damn.. I really don't know what Google was thinking.
