New HTC Desire A17 in the works; phone to come with Android 6.01 and Sense 8
A text by ROM developer and HTC tipster LlabTooFeR says that a new HTC phone is coming soon. Codenamed the HTC Desire A17, not much is known about the device except that it will apparently have Android 6.0.1 pre-installed with Sense 8 running on top. The buzz around the water cooler is that this phone will be released at the same time as the HTC Bolt.

We exclusively told you just the other day that the HTC Bolt will launch November 11th in the U.S. The phone will be available in the U.S. only from Sprint. As far as the Desire A17 is concerned, we can go back to the HTC Desire 530 which carried the codename HTC A16. Perhaps we could look at that model as something of a guide.

The HTC Desire 530 features a 5-inch screen with a 720 x 1280 resolution. A Snapdragon 210 chipset is under the hood carrying a quad-core 1.1GHz CPU and the Adreno 304 GPU. 1.5GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of expandable native storage. A 2TB capacity microSD slot is available for those seeking additional storage. An 8MP camera graces the back of the unit, with a 5MP camera on front to snap selfies and handle video chats. Keeping the lights on is a 2200mAh battery. The phone was originally priced at $159.99 when it was launched last March 11th.

Obviously, the HTC Desire A17 will be an entry-level model, in contrast to the high-end HTC Bolt.
