Pantech is entering the dual-SIM market with the P1000 & P4000
Being a popular manufacturer for mostly feature phones, with an occasional smartphone sprinkling every now and then, Pantech is revving up to get themselves into the dual-SIM market with two new upcoming devices. Pantech's Italy web site is now showing the Pantech P1000 and P4000 which are of course dual-SIM capable with the latter being the more high end between the two. The Pantech P4000 sports a  sizable 3” WQVGA touchscreen, quad-band GSM connectivity, 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, FM radio, Facebook access, microSD card support, and a 1,000 mAh battery. On the other end, the Pantech P1000 follows similarly to their usual offerings as it features a minute 1.8” display, dual-band GSM connectivity, 1.3-megapixel camera, microSD card support, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.0, and FM radio. Unfortunately the pricing on either handsets are not known right now, but if there's any indication, it should be relatively inexpensive like their other offerings. All in all, this move into the dual-SIM market will definitely get Pantech's name out there to more people.
