Palm announces Treo 750v

At last, the highly anticipated antenna-less Treo has been officially introduced and that happened on September 12, as expected. The Treo 750v is a quad-band GSM/EDGE smartphone with tri-band (850/1900/2100 MHz) UMTS support and full QWERTY keyboard. It runs on a 300 MHz Samsung processor and Windows Mobile 5.2 Pocket PC Phone Edition Operating system. The handset also features a 65k color 240x240 pixel touch display, 1.3 megapixel camera, but unfortunately no additional one for video calling to take advantage of the phone's 3G capabilities. The device's 128MB of memory can be expanded through miniSD cards, while connectivity is provided by IR and Bluetooth 1.2 support.

Currently Palm's Treo 750v is introduced only for Vodafone, but a launch by Cingular may soon be expected as the device is already official, and pictures with the major US carrier branding on it have been circulating lately.
