Oppo R7s (with 4 GB of RAM) launches on December 1 in the US and Europe
Already available in Asia, the recently announced Oppo R7s will soon be released in the US and Europe, too. In Europe, the handset can be pre-ordered via Amazon UK, Amazon France, and Amazon Germany, costing £259 and €349, respectively. Folks in the US will be able to buy the smartphone starting December 1 from OppoStyle.com, for $399.

Like the R7 and R7 Plus before it, the Oppo R7s runs Android Lollipop customized with Oppo's Color OS, and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. But the R7s sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, thus standing in between the R7 and R7 Plus (which offer screens of 5 inches and 6 inches, respectively). The new smartphone further features a 13 MP rear camera, an 8 MP front-facing camera, 4 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of expandable storage space.

The Oppo R7s is made from a "premium metal alloy", measures 151.8 x 75.4 x 6.95 mm, and includes a 3070 mAh battery with Oppo's proprietary VOOC fast charging technology. Is anyone interested in buying this handset?

Will still post mediocre battery life scores despite 1080p on a >3000mAh battery due to that battery hog SD615 and unoptimized software. Otherwise, these Chinese phones would be an absolutely superior choice to the big brands
