Oppo to enter UK smartphone market soon; will target flagship and mid-range segments
While Oppo isn’t that well known on an international scale, within China the brand is pretty popular and often draws comparisons with Samsung due to its higher profit margins. But way back in June, the company commenced a push into Europe with releases in Spain, France, Italy, Russia, and the Netherlands. And according to new information obtained by MySmartPrice, the company’s next focus will be the high-end and mid-range segments in the UK.

When it comes to the most expensive smartphones, it will be the Oppo Find X that leads the way, although the Lamborghini Edition of this same device will also make an appearance on shelves in the UK. Presumably, the former will target Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro directly, while the latter will be aimed at Huawei’s recently-announced Mate 20 RS Porsche Design and any other ultra-premium smartphones that may be available.

Regarding the mid-range segment, the company will be betting on the Oppo F9. This smartphone was originally announced back in August and brings a metal and glass build complete with a large 6.3-inch display to the table. Internally, MediaTek’s Helio P60 can be found alongside 64GB of internal storage and the choice of 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

Presently, it’s unclear when Oppo’s debut in the UK market will happen. However, with the holiday season just around the corner, an arrival during the month of November seems like the most plausible scenario. Furthermore, if Oppo’s UK launch is anything like its arrival in other parts of Europe, availability through a number of major retailers and carriers is to be expected.

Yes I agree the Find X is the most beautiful phone of 2018. Unfortunately it doesn’t get much attention by the Western press but their all screen design is where all manufacturers are heading. I honestly believe that this time next year Huawei, Samsung and possibly Apple will have this all screen phone with pop-up/pop-out camera.

Oppo sells close to 100 million phones. How is it not well known internationally? I can understand how your English speaking viewers might not know oppo but everyone else does.
