Only 3100 units of the HTC Butterfly S Hello Kitty model to be available
According to a Taiwan based source, only 3100 units of the HTC Butterfly S Hello Kitty model will be released. The phone is being offered by the Taiwan based manufacturer in conjunction with Eva Air, an airline in the country. The phone is available in white, not the pink that is part of the Hello Kitty color scheme. The Hello Kitty character will be printed on both the front and back of the phone.

The specs of the HTC Butterfly S Hello Kitty model will be the same as those on the regular version of the Butterfly S. We do expect HTC to have shoehorned some Hello Kitty wallpaper and games onto the device to play on the phone. The unit has a 5 inch Super LCD 3 display with resolution of 1080 x 1920 (FHD). That works out to a stunning pixel density of 441ppi. A quad-core 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU is driving the device, while the Adreno 320 handles graphics. There is 2GB of RAM on board and 16GB of native storage. Need to add more storage? The 64GB capacity microSD slot will help you with that matter.

On back is a 4 UltraPixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture and the ability to capture video in 1080 x 1920 resolution. A front-facing 2.1MP snapper takes selfies and lets you engage in video chat. Usually quite a miser when it comes to batteries, HTC has gone all out with a 3200mAh cell on the phone, which is quite a large capacity battery for HTC. Android 4.1 will be pre-installed out of the box along with Sense 5.0 UI. That means you'll see Project Butter, Google Now and actionable notifications along with BlinkFeed and Beats Audio.

The launch of the handset is expected to take place soon and with only 3100 units available, you are not going to see this outside of Taiwan unless some enterprising buyers put the phone up for sale on eBay. If this is a model you need to have, we'd expect to see it not too long after its launch on one of the online auction sites.
