OnePlus compares its One to the new HTC One M8: lower price, "no extra logo on front"
The all new HTC One M8 is finally here: HTC CEO Peter Chou himself announced the handset a few hours ago in New York City, and customers can buy the device in the US starting today. We’ve already reviewed the new One, and it turns out that this is quite a nice smartphone. But that won’t stop the competition from trying to tell us that they can make better handsets, right? Right.

Enter OnePlus, a new China-based company that’s getting ready to launch a CyanogenMod-based smartphone called OnePlus One. According to OnePlus, its own One is better than HTC’s M8, because it has a 5.5 inch display with Content-adaptive backlight control (CABC) technology, a six-lens 13MP rear camera, a 3,100 mAh battery, and “no extra logo on front.” Moreover, an unlocked OnePlus One will cost less than $400, while HTC’s new One is priced at $600 - $650 off contract.

Of course, while the OnePlus One looks good on paper, there’s a big problem with it: at the moment, this handset does not exist from a buyer’s point of view. We don't know what it looks like, and it’s not even announced - its official presentation will take place on April 23.

Anyway, what do you think? Can the OnePlus One one up HTC's One M8? Let us know in the comments section below!
