The newest OnePlus 5T video ad is literally disgusting and deserves a Razzie award

Yes, it's true. All of it.

OnePlus has officially developed a meat fetish.

In what can only be described as a macabre and slightly disgusting video clip aiming to demonstrate the image stabilization capabilities of the OnePlus 5T against the Galaxy S8, OnePlus has a dauntless chap wearing a Lady Gaga-esque full-body armor of real meat being jumped at by a shepherd dog.

Yes, it's as bad as it sounds, and we can easily think of at least 2,000 other scenarios where the video stabilization could have been demonstrated without the use of raw meat. It's bad, it's unfunny, unoriginal, and does little to promote the capabilities of the OnePlus 5T but instead only relies on the "shock" factor that guerrilla marketing is known for.

The company's marketing struggles have bounced between the hit-and-miss ends of the spectrum for as long as we can remember, with the disturbingly weird ads dominating the portfolio, and don't get  us started on its promotional campaigns that were either super-sexist or made gullible folks smash their devices with the hopes of earning a new device.

Super sexist? Why? Because women were attractive and showing skin? You clearly had no issues when they had a model on there bulls**tting as a techie and then made a commercial depitcting the male subjects as idiots (dont' bring up that 1950s or so bulls**t because that shows how little you know about TV). Appealing to men's senses (who are the ones into and buying tech) is a bad thing huh? I bet you're all for attractive women to lose their jobs like with the grid girls.

For some time now, oneplus has been relying on exposure through disgusting reklams. Funny enough, it seems to work since the more disgusting it is, the more people will talk about it and share. Thus, more people get to see the phone.

The only thing that bothers me about these ads are them saying the guys are ‘stupid’ or ‘moron’. I don’t know wtf that’s about.

I'll never criticize LG again for their lack of marketing prowess.

Another s*it ad from Oneplus. I hope they better concentrate on “Privacy” instead of making such ads.

Exposure. Bad or good they will get a lot of it.
