The OnePlus 5T is going to be unveiled this coming Thursday, November 16th. Believe it or not, OnePlus charged $40 for a ticket to the unveiling event and the company just disseminated a tweet to announce that the event is now sold out. So why is OnePlus charging consumers to watch it unveil its new phone? The company says that it needs to charge to help it get an accurate head count so it knows how many people will be attending. The funds generated by ticket sales will also go "toward the advancement of tech innovation."

The event is taking place in Brooklyn at Villain. The address is 307 Kent Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11249. The festivities start at 11am and runs to 2pm; each ticket holder receives a swag bag that contains:

  • OnePlus Travel Backpack.
  • OnePlus Hoodie in your selected size.
  • OnePlus Baseball Cap.
  • other exclusive goodies.

Besides a swag bag, each ticket holder receives:

  • Reserved seating.
  • The earliest hands-on experience with the new OnePlus 5T.
  • Snacks and drinks.
  • A fun time with Pete, Carl, and the OnePlus team.

The OnePlus 5T is rumored to be equipped with a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The bezels are thinner which forced OnePlus to move the fingerprint scanner to the back. The Snapdragon 835 chipset is under the hood; one version comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, and the other with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. There is a dual-camera set up on back, and the lights are kept on by a 3300mAh battery.

The OnePlus 5T could be launched on November 21st. Pricing will be announced on Thursday.
