Nubia's dual-screened Z18S to carry a 5.1-inch OLED panel in back?
Exactly one week ago today, we showed you images that we grabbed from a leaked video of the Nubia Z18S. The phone not only has a near bezel-less screen in front, it also carries a secondary display in back. Unlike the Yota Phone, which sports a secondary e-Ink display on its back, the rear-facing display on the Z18S appears to be a 5.1-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 720 x 1520. That is based on information seen on the website of Chinese regulator TENAA.

According to TENAA, the front-facing LCD screen weighs in at 6.26-inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2280. A Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform is under the hood, and it seems that there will be variants containing 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of native storage. Keeping the lights on is a 3800mAh battery, and Android 8.1 is pre-installed. Unfortunately, the listing does not include any pictures.
The Nubia Z18S has a model number of NX616J, and now that it has been certified by TENAA, we would not be surprised to see it unwrapped in the near future.

Definitely different and no notch, good for them. But I really don't see a need in it.

i think they are going too far ahead, just keep the bezelless front and only have front screen and you guys will get the sales numbers,

The back screen has a purpose though, and that is to see selfies, since there is no front-facing cam. It's a nice idea, but it'd be much more practical to just have a small strip of bezel with all the sensors/selfie cam. (though the display pic for the article shows it with a notch/front-facing cam, so I'm a bit confused about that)

Dual screen phone... Different that's for sure! Interesting to see Nubia's take on it.
