AT&T customers with the Motorola Moto X can take place in a soak test
Just the other day, some Verizon subscribers sporting the Motorola Moto X
were participating in a soak test, apparently to see how Android 4.4 ran on the device. Things must have gone smoothly since the
update starting rolling out to Big Red's Moto X users on Tuesday. Now it is AT&T's turn to have the soak test run on its customer's handsets.
Motorola selects members of its Feedback Network to take part in the soak test. This test allows a small group to check out a software update before it gets a wide release. By doing this, Motorola can more easily stay on top of any problems that might occur with the software. If a problem pops up, it is limited to the soak testers' devices.
Considering how fast Verizon's soak test turned into the actual KitKat update, AT&T customers totin' the Motorola Moto X could be very close to enjoying a piece of that KitKat bar.
