Latest Nova Launcher 6.0 beta brings some nifty new features
One of the most popular Android launchers, Nova Launcher has just got better thanks to a new update that adds a couple of new features and improvements. Although this is just a beta release, we expect these enhancements to make to the next major version of Nova Launcher.

The most important new feature mentioned in the changelog is the option to launch the Google Assistant straight from the search widget on the homescreen. This option can be disabled from the toggle you'll find in the Nova Settings.

Apparently, the new feature doesn't really use the same method employed by the Pixel launcher to trigger Google Assistant, but it's the closest that the developer could include. More importantly, the new feature doesn't require the Prime version of Nova Launcher, so it will be available to everyone.

Another change included in the update is a new set of Nova app animations that draw inspiration from Android Pie. Also, some fixes are mentioned in the changelog as well, so you should notice fewer issues with Nova Launcher 6.0 beta 5.

Brought the app when it was discounted for just 10 Indian Rupees (0.14 USD). Been using it in all my last 3 phones. Best app I spent my 10 Rupees on so far.

Again this was a gimmicky feature for back in the day to help speed up the phones on android when I was rocking the HTC Thunderbolt. No one uses gimmicky launchers anymore. Another dead concept that people thought that this limited the iPhone.

B.S. OEM launchers are very limited. Nova and similar launchers give much more control. Stop spreading the BS.

Nope. I download Nova on every phone I get. Samsung's launcher is s**t.

Sir, I could not disagree with you more. Of everyone that I could think of at the moment who has an Android phone, I would say roughly half of them use a stock launcher, one of whom is my dad on his GS7, and three are Pixel users, but it would not be an exaggeration to say that almost half of the users I know use a launcher, and Nova Launcher in most cases too. It's a wonderful thing to be able to customize it just the way you want, regardless of the device you use.

The main point about this launcher is you C A N disable those bits, UNLIKE the Samsung one, that are enforced by google, I guess.. and NO I will not unlock and remove my warranty...>:(

Can someone please tell me how to arrange the files in the app drawer MANUALLY using Nova Launcher Prime. All i can do is either put the folders first or not and that's it.
