Nokia's new L'Amour fashion phones

Nokia's latest fashion line of phones was announced today. The L'Amour is a collection of three trend-inspired mobile phones, the Nokia 7360, Nokia 7370 and Nokia 7380. All three of the devices feature similar design motifs and are more technologically advanced then their 72xx predecessor series.

Nokia 7360

The first member of the new L'Amour series is the 7360. Shaped in the standard for Nokia bar-form factor, it is compact, weights only 3.2 oz (92 grams) and measures 1.8 centimeters (0.7") in thickness. It is less feature rich than the 7370 and offers only VGA camera with video recording capabilities. The tri-band GSM 7360 supports 900/1800 and 1900 MHz frequencies with support for GPRS and EDGE high speed data.

Like the rest of the L'Amour phones, the 7360 runs Nokia Series 40 user interface. Other features include push-to-talk, MP3 ringtones and stereo FM radio. According to the official specification, the 7360 could last up to 14 days in stand-by mode and offers about 4 hours of talk time. The phone should become available Q1 2006 and is expected to sell for about $240 USD (200 EU).

The 7370 is the second new phone from the L'Amour series and is the first Nokia ever to feature swivel form factor, made mostly popular by Sony Ericsson phones. The 7370 sports 1.3 mega pixel camera with large 2" display with resolution of 240x320 pixels. The display is used as a viewfinder in landscape mode. Added bonus are stereo speakers with 3D sound effects.

The 7370 runs Series 40 user interface and operates on 900/1800 and 1900 MHz GSM networks and supports GPRS and EDGE data. The official specs call for 10 days of stand-by time with 3.5 hours to talk time.

The expected price for the device is about $360 USD (300 EU) and it should start shipping out Q1 2006.

We already reported about the successor of the original 7280 pen-like phone - the 7380. The latest device from the L'Amour series again lacks regular numeric keypad, and uses an iPOD styled dial. Measuring only 4.49" x 1.18" x .79" (114mm x 30mm x 20mm) with weight of about 2.82 oz (80g), the 7380 is definately an eye-catcher. The camera has be upped to 2.0 mega pixel one. The phone's mirrored screen hides resolution of 104 x 208 pixles with up to 65000 colors. The tri-band GPRS/EDGE capable phone works on 900/1800 and 1900 Mhz GSM networks.

The centrepiece of the L'Amour Collection, the Nokia 7380 is aimed at trend-setting men and women who enjoy being the centre of attention - and are willing to spend a little extra ($600 USD or 500 EU) on the finer things in life.
