Nokia has 41 reasons why you should buy the Nokia Lumia 1020
Nokia has 41 reasons why the Nokia Lumia 1020 should be your next smartphone. As you can imagine, most of the reasons have to do with the 41MP PureView camera on the back of the device. For example, the Optical Image Stabilization on board the camera brings blur-free pictures while dual capture gives you two images of each photograph you shoot. One lower resolution shot is for you to share on social networks while the other image is used to play around with (editing, special effects).

There are sill another 39 reasons left to try to convince you to make the switch from whatever phone you're currently using. In the U.S., the Nokia Lumia 1020 is an AT&T exclusive priced at $299.99 with a signed two year contract. If you're still undecided about the phone, you can take a look at the 41 reasons to buy it in the infograph below.

Say NO to last years hardware (excl camera), Say no to high price, Say no to having the software of this overpriced thing look exactly the same as a chinese phone.

The gs4, or any other crappy android phone, don't even come close to the 1020. I'm sure you've seen a few $hitty camera comparisons on different tech sites portraying the Lumia range as nothing exceptional; What you won't see however, is the difference that a few adjustments to the camera's settings can make to the image quality of photos taken using a Lumia 920, 925, 928, and 1020. Small things like increasing the shutter speed in low light to compensate for camera shake (Something even top of the range DSLR's suffer from) and keeping the ISO at reasonable levels. Remember, "auto" may work fine on the gs4 and iphone, but it doesn't do a very good job when used on the Lumia range of advanced cameraphones.

1 reason why you should not buy it: * It is a big phone, unless you're a 7-foot tall person, chances are you're going to operate it with both hands.

Then what about the Sony Xperia Z, the Samsung Galaxy S4, the LG Optimus G, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Huawei Ascend Mate? Big screens are the future .... Maybe you can try the iPhone5s? Personal preference's i guess again :) Best regards!

Even though I hate Apple to the core of my bones, that's really my only option :( Soon enough we'll have phones as big as they were on the 90s, without physical keyboard and slimmer though. I'd love to buy the Xperia Z, it's stylish, classy, rugged but the ONLY disadvantage to me: cannot be used with just one hand. The iPhone still can, and it's the only flagship that meets my criteria, so, I'll have to go with the greedy Apple.

you're sissy you know? My buddy who suffers from tetraplegia after motorcycle accident can use Lumia 920 so how a healthy, normal person can't? I'm starting to believe that since android people's hands are getting smaller...or they're drifiting towards emo #ags.

He must like phones with huge screen, I don't. It's annoying to store on the pocket, it's annoying to use while walking, it's impossible to text while doing something else with one hand (at least there will be no more texting and driving) and if you're the macho, try making a phone call using a 10" tablet and put it on your ears like a normal phone and use it with one hand, you'll see what I'm talking about

None of which actually mean squat if the OS is so lackluster. Maybe next time, Nokia.

at least 90% of the reasons to buy the 1020 are camera features . . . that's only the feature they can brag lol . . .

I don't care what reasons they give. Bottom line, At&t exclusive and $299? Its not going to sell. Period. Unless one of those two change this will just be the awesome camera smartphone that no one bought. I hope not. Because this is the WP8 phone everyones been waiting for.

Blame at&t for that exclusive. If Nokia wants too succeed in sales instead of playing favorites n money should be on every carrier.

Why blame AT&T for the exclusive? Nokia was the one that agreed to give the exclusive. They could have passed. Instead, they passed on being able to market their phone to VZW, Sprint and T-Mo customers.

21. InspectorGadget80 unregistered

My only reason is the camera & design.

seems we have another dupe account, and its easy to figure as there is always a new account that appears to defend that ''Whoyton1'' your making it too obvious with your many different accounts. and you know who im on bout been one of them, this article and all nokia/wp articles show the real tragic fanboys. P.A needs some real action against this android fanboy plague. the myth that android is for the more techie person is shown as bs because of your kind ohh and you cant use your crap defense that people who like nokia hate android and are jealous because im currently using android now (still have my 808 as its still a beast) anything to say?
