Nokia 7710 - the new Series 90 device approved by FCC

I personally didn't expect to see another Series 90 device from Nokia, after the company scrapped its plans to commercially introduce the 7700 model. Rumors were floating around for a while, then some pirated pictures appear and not longer after that – official announcement from Nokia. As o yesterday, the successor of 7700 – the 7710 has been officially approved by the FCC which allows Nokia to sell the phone in the US.

The phone has very impressive feature set (at least on paper) and we just hope Nokia will make at least that one commercially available.

Main features of 7710:

  • Symbian 7 with Series 90
  • 1 mega pixel camera
  • IMAP/POP3
  • 640 x 320 touch screen
  • Bluetooth
  • 80 MB shared memory + MMC card slot
  • MP3 and MPEG4 playback
  • Speakerphone
  • HTML browser
  • 5.0" x 2.7" x .7" with 6.7 oz weight

Nokia 7710's manual can be viewed here.
