New version of fring has come out
An upgraded version 3.40 of the popular social network chat client fring has just come out. Its creators claim its the key feature is "unification" as it now allows you to combine all your online buddies into a single account, no matter what social service provider they happen to have signed up for - Skype, ICQ, Yahoo! etc. That´s great news indeed, since you will be able to use a unified account instead of having to sign in on several messengers at the same time, which in turn tends to be pretty uncomfortable at times. You can now also change your fring account picture, online status, message that shows your current mood and of course, your nickname. All these functions are amusingly explained in the video below. As of now, the version runs on Symbian devices only, but another one that will be compatible with the iPhone and Windows Mobile powered cell phones is soon to arrive as well.
