New Microsoft Lumia Windows 10 flagship coming in 2015

Microsoft chief of Lumia devices Stephen Elop went on stage at the company's Mobile World Congress 2015 keynote to unveil a brand new Lumia 640 mid-ranger, as well as new features of Windows 10.

While good news is that Windows 10 should come to all current Windows Phone 8.1 devices (with varying set of features depending on the specifications of the device), we're more excited about a particular announcement that Elop made at the keynote: a new flagship Windows 10 Lumia device by Microsoft is coming later this year.

Yes, it will ship with Windows 10 right on board, boasting all the great new features of the latest version of Microsoft's mobile platform.

What would it be? Elop gave no further details, but we hope to see the tradition of the great PureView cameras continued, and we expect no less than top-notch hardware. What do you want to see in the new Microsoft Lumia flagship?

Why not 15 inch? 5.7 is too small!

Better have one at least 6"... Preferably at 6.3".. If you've been using a 1520 5.7" is pathetic.. Seriously, using my 1520 is a walk in the park. It fits in my pocket perfectly, and handles very well.. I could deal with a few more 1/10ths of an inch...

Microsoft can just give up the Windows Phone and focus on its Surface Series and its softwore. Too less apps for the phone and to diffucults to use. Now the problem is that comsumers will feel difficulty to think to use the Windows Phone even they have try on it.

"..to difficult to use"? Really? Different to use than the "grid layout" and basic functions of Android and iOS. I will give you that. But Windows phone (working on that little "p") is extremely easy to learn and very simple to adjust to. I have heard "boring" as a criticism way more than difficult.

Lol... Difficult to use.... I remember some of the kids in fourth grade who still had problems using forks, and spoons... This brings back those memories.

Mr. Elop's in charge of Microsoft's mobile division if he says flagship by windows 10 debut for smartphone like it or not that's the way it will be. there has to be something new on the Horizon for Verizon net work. AT & T got the 640 and 640 XL. Mr. Elop's MS division has to have some 640/640 XL class midrange smart phone for Verizon wireless. they are too big to not get a Microsoft brand lumia smart phone hell the Nokia lumia 928 I use and the Nokia lumia 822 are old dinosaurs by now. looks like I have to buy a used Verizon icon.

Working on the excuse I will have to give the wife for why I need this phone less then a year after buying the M8 for Windows. Hmmmm.... "HTC is giving me a rash." "I hear for every Lumia sold, MS is donating to puppy and kitty shelters." "Clippy the Mascot for the LA B-Ball team just called and personally asked me to. He was very determined."

You could try: "Honey, it was either this or give $25 a month to Sally Struthers and her Guatemalan kids". OR "Woman! I want this phone!" Enjoy the couch and your right hand for a few weeks.

I am hoping that Microsoft will release an S6 competitor at an affordable price. At the software ground, i believe windows 10 has all it takes to compete and we understand the releases of cheap phones but some of us have been waiting too long for this one phone called the "Game changer".

Just back to the fact that Android and iOS are more user friendly than Windows, maybe you can explain why such as good system can only occupied the smartphone market share less than 3%? Yup, no supprised some people will support certain goods based on feeling but not based on fact, cheating themselves and mislead some people around them.

Just back to the fact we who enjoy windows care not one bit for Apple and Google, so get over yourself, play with your rubbish Apple and we will enjoy our MS. Don't even understand why you guys even spend the time talking down a system. You either work for Apple or have emotional issues. We don't sit in Apple threads rubbishing them. Enjoy life and don't be such a sad sack.

Divert focus by accusing people from Apple or have emotional issues will not erase the fact. You can sit in Android or Apple threads to express your opinion freely, but don’t try to accuse the criticism from rival company, this will show how sad sack you are.
