NVIDIA teases new Shield TV announcement for October 28
NVIDIA was rumored to launch a new and improved Shield TV Android TV box, but none of the previous reports mentioned when exactly that will happen. That part of the information has just been clarified by NVIDIA, as the company has just teased a Shield TV announcement for October 28.

The teaser doesn't reveal anything about the new product, but according to previous reports, the upcoming NVIDIA Shield TV will be equipped with a more powerful and more efficient chipset, the NVIDIA Tegra X1+. Also, the Android TV box will pack 3GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage, two USB 3.0 ports, and Dolby Vision Atmos support.

Since Amazon inadvertently leaked the new NVIDIA Shield TV, we also know that it will come with Chromecast 4K built-in, HD-to-4K AI upscaling, Bluetooth 5.0 support and a new remote. But the best thing about the new Android TV box is that it won't be more expensive than the Shield TV Gaming Edition, which currently sells for $200.

Another indication that a new NVIDIA Shield TV will be launched next week is the fact that all current models are now out of stock, which means the company plans to start selling the new one soon after the big reveal.
