Motorola showcases new high end models

Today at 3GSM show in Cannes, Motorola announed several new handsets, few of which are in the high-end category.

PEBL V6 - with its round edges and stylish design, the V6 is supposed to be the replacement of the V600 phone. Main features are:

  • EDGE
  • MPE4 video capture
  • Bluetooth
  • VGA camera
  • JAVA
  • 5 MB of embedded memory
  • 850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900 MHz models

Expected availability: Second half of 2005

Motorola PEBL V6

SLVR V8- utilizing the same minimization technology as the RAZR, V8 adds Push-to-Talk and transflash. Other features:

  • Bluetooth
  • VGA camera
  • 5 MB embedded memory plus up to an additional 256 with a removable memory
  • MP3 player
  • JAVA

Expected availability: Q3 of 2005

Motorola SLVR V8

Special Edition Black RAZR V3 - basically identical to the already available silver RAZR, the SE model will be black in color
