Motorola prepares India for launch of Motorola Moto X Play (UPDATE)
A tweet from Motorola India disseminated over the weekend, revealed that the Motorola Moto X Play is on its way to the country with a launch expected soon. The tweet focuses on the 3630mAh battery that Motorola says will get 30 hours of mixed use between charges. The Motorola Moto X Play features a Gorilla Glass 3 protected 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. That works out to a pixel density of 401ppi.

Powering the Moto X Play is a Snapdragon 615 SoC, which contains an octa-core 1.7GHz CPU and the Adreno 405 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of internal storage. Those requiring additional storage can use the 128GB capacity microSD slot. A 21MP camera is on back with an aperture of f/2.0, allowing users to take pictures under less than optimal lighting conditions. For selfies and video chats, a 5MP snapper is located on the front of the phone. Android 5.1 is pre-installed.

Motorola protects the Moto X Play from splashes and light rain thanks to nanocoating technology. And yes, this is expected to be the same model that Verizon turns into the Motorola DROID MAXX 2. Keep in mind that a 3630mAh battery isn't thin, which explains the 10.9mm thickness of the Moto X Play. The device weighs in at 169 grams.

Pricing is unknown at the moment.

Cool, but why no announcement regarding X Style?

Motorola really really sucks at marketing and launching products. The Style went under the radar in terms of announcement and they're totally vague about the details. Seriously they need to really improve.

I'm going to call you Hoover, because no one sucks at trolling more than you.

That was lame.

I would think it was lame too if it went over my head. Perhaps you'll get it one day.

Well, if they were as good as Apple in terms of marketing then they would be able to sell all the phones they could make without worrying about killer features or quality control, thank God they actually strive to make actual good phones instead of relying on fashion/status symbols.

Lol good phones with a mediocre camera and a mediocre battery life? You're as pathetic as ever.

See, this is why I'm calling you Hoover, because you suck at trolling. The cameras and battery life are just fine on this year's phones. If you feel compelled to complain about battery life then why do you never comment on Apple's iPhones? the iPhone 6 has the smallest battery of all of last year's and this year's flagships, smallest by a large margin.
