Motorola announces Moto X Pure Edition Marshmallow update for Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular
Just last week, we heard that Motorola was starting the soak test for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its latest Moto X Pure Edition, and as has been mostly customary with Motorola, the soak test was pretty quick it seems. A Motorola employee took to Google+ to announce that the Marshmallow rollout has begun in earnest on some US carriers.

According to David Schuster, senior director of software product management for Motorola, the Android 6.0 rollout has officially begun for Moto X Pure Edition users on Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular. Additionally, Motorola has begun the Marshmallow soak test for the Moto X Play in Brazil and India, and the Moto X Force in Brazil. There is no word on other versions of the Moto X Pure in the US.

Motorola doesn't have any special features on the way for the Android 6.0 update for its devices, and lists only the standard Marshmallow features like Doze, Now on Tap, and simplified volume controls. So, if anyone out there has a Moto X Pure and you see the update hitting your device, let us know in the comments. It would be interesting to see how long the rollout takes.
