Motorola Milestone in Hong Kong receives Android 2.1 update
While Motorola DROID users in the US are still waiting for Verizon to roll-out the Android 2.1 update (unless you are one of 1000 testers who got it last week), current users of the Motorola MILESTONE have already recieved the 2.1 update in Spain and also in Bulgaria. Now add to that list Hong Kong and Macau, as the Android 2.1 update was made available to them on March 22nd. But instead of doing an over-the-air update, MILESTONE users in Hong Kong and Macau have the choice of visiting a MOTO ServiceOne Center for the update to be applied there, or by connecting the MILESTONE to their PC via USB and going to the MOTOUPDATE site (will not work in the US). The Android 2.1 update for the MILESTONE will include live wallpapers, up to 9 home screens (what happened to 7?), voice dialer app, and updated apps for the camera, FaceBook, help center, Quickoffice (view only), Moto Car Home, and support for additional languages (Dutch, Portuguese, Greek, Polish, and Turkish).
