Today, Verizon sent out emails to various news organizations inviting them to a special PR event in NYC on October 28 saying, "Verizon Wireless unleashes the must-have device of the year". Even though the Droid isn't mentioned by name in the email, it is clear that is what it will be about...notice the "red Droid eye" at the bottom. We'll keep you posted as to any updates.
