Microsoft posting job listings for the next version of Windows Phone
Even though Windows Phone 8 has already launched, Microsoft is already looking ahead at the next version of its mobile OS. According to a job posting for a Software Development Engineer for Windows Phone, the person hired will be part of the team that will "define the next generation Windows Phone application model and delight developers with multitasking, navigation experience, app integration and cloud connectivity." The applicant must have a passion for mobile technology.

Another listing for a lead Software Development Engineer might be giving us a clue as to the focus of the next Windows Phone OS. This position is for someone who "knows how gamers think and code." The ultimate goal is "to take this to a whole new level. To build a platform and delight Gamers and Native developers like no one has ever done before." A third posting seeks someone to lead a team to develop the next generation input and media for both developers and the end user.

Think you have what it takes to help Microsoft develop its next-gen mobile platform? Take a look at the three job listings below and just maybe you have what they are looking for in Redmond.
