Microsoft Lumia 535 released in India, will also be available in the UK
Not long after announcing the Lumia 535 as its very first own-branded Windows Phone handset, Microsoft this week started selling the device (more exactly, its dual SIM variant) in India. As far as we know, this is the first market where the 535 becomes available.

If you’re in India, you can order a dual SIM Lumia 535 from Microsoft via the source link below. The smartphone costs $149 (9,199 INR), and for now it’s available in four color versions: black, white, green and orange.

Succeeding the Nokia Lumia 530, the Microsoft Lumia 535 runs Windows Phone 8.1, thus offering stuff like Microsoft Office, Cortana, OneNote, Skype, and 15 GB of free OneDrive storage space. Technical specs include a 5-inch display with 540 x 960 pixels, 5 MP cameras (both on the back, and at the front), quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of expandable internal memory, and a 1905 mAh battery.

While it’s targeted mainly at emerging markets, the Lumia 535 will also be released in the UK. Microsoft UK’s website lists the handset as “coming soon”, but doesn’t say how much it’s going to cost there.

Are you going to buy a Microsoft Lumia 535?

Moto e 6000 INR... Moto g 2014 13000 INR... not sure moto g 2013 should be around 9000 INR... 535 is fail....with not so good pricing and no nokia branding this doomed to fail...

thats correct but i feel the segment of Indians i have seen buying windows phone will not mind Microsoft branding The folks who you are talking about to whom blind Nokia branding means a lot typically use low- mid range Androids today I know im just stereotyping here but that works for the majority cases

Actually, The pricing is not bad. We can't compare cheap Chinese toys to this. Spec wise Moto-E offer less, and no much difference between 2013 Moto-G and this except the display resolution and a bit weaker processor on 535. But 535 offers 5MP front cam which satisfy the selfie needs very well. If you compare Xperia E3 or equivalent samsung / HTC rivals, the price is justified.

Did you just called Moto devices a cheap Chinese toys??? Ha ha... is this ignorance or pure fanboyism???? Btw pricing is not that bad. Though Moto G 2013 eddition a bit value for money. But its pretty good device as an entry level WP.

I didn't say Moto as Chinese toys. If my statement misleads, i apologize for that. I told about Xiaomi. Even other Chinese company like Huawei and Oppo can't compete Xiaomi in terms of price.

Well said. Thats true. The people who doesn't know the uses and simplicity of Windows phone (in Nokia) will speak like fail, waste and all. I swear Lumia brands are the ones that enhanced Nokia to be in market still and compete with Android phones. As we know, in India branded smartphones came into rule with only Android at very first (Samsung). Finally, Nokia have enriched a tie-up with Microsoft which altered the future that is Windows Phones.

All are wrong here. The pricing without any additional offers are Moto e - 7k Redmi 1s - 6k Moto g 1 - 10k Moto g 2 - 13k Considering that this looks good deal if Nokia would be providing after sales-support since they have good network in India. Motorola is worst in this case and so is Xiaomi. So paying 2k more for Nokia after sales is worth of it. Moto e after sale is nightmare. Motorola is worse than Xiaomi support in India

Let me tell you "gaara6775" that if WP is existing it is BECAUSE of Nokia branding. So still high on non sense and low capacity brain ? How long you will be ?

You are wrong. MS is not a new company to make os.Many people loved them over the years(when it was called windows mobile) . So if you think that they are alive because of Nokia then I don't know what to say, because you never experienced the beauty of wm back in the days when symbian was so boring and bald. So now if you say ms will die or will get lost as no Nokia branding then you're wrong. People who prefer that os will buy, because it is a different platform not many like it. Of course their sales won't be high or less than what Nokia used to sell but that won't make wp die.

Little "gaara6775", I stopped reading at the starting of your comment so much it is a concentration of bullsht and lies, and I'm talking only about the 1-2 first sentences of your comment, I guess in consequence you are typically the M$ FanBoy we will find on a site : massive reality field distortion. You know why Micro$ is loved ? Let me give you a list to enlighten your eyes : -Virus -Bluescreens -Tojan Flop -Windows Media Player -Windows RT fail -Killing Netbooks -IE6 -Closed Source Tyranny -Slowness -Thief with expensive bad products -Kin One and Kin Two -Microsoft Band -Angain Bluescreens, Virus, Bugs -Windows Update and Patches -Killing Nokia -Metro UI and Windows 8 Fail and a lot more I didn't even think about ! So seriously, rather you stop lying of you GTFO with your lies !

Those who say this is bad choice are dumb. Seriously they are. Dual Sim,bigger battery, bigger display, front and back 5mp camera(with flash) and wp8.1 with cortana at this price is superb just superb. If this had Nokia branding you guys would've applaud but since this is ms you guys didn't like. You are just ms hater.

choices of people are different, those who loves to try an entry level windows phones would go for it without a second thought.., it's far better than 520. And 520 was priced at Rs.10999(~ $180) at launch.. And more over, its a good option for 520 fans looking for upgrade.. Cant complain, it's a good phone..
