Mango coming to the HTC HD7S, Surround, LG Quantum and Samsung Focus
We guess today's the lucky day for Windows Phone aficionados on AT&T. Not only did the carrier announce three brand new smartphones, running on the latest version of the operating system, but it also promised to update its whole current WP 7 lineup to WP 7.5, aka Mango. This is really great news for users of the HTC HD7S, HTC Surround, LG Quantum and the Samsung Focus. Customers should get the update sometime during the fall, which sounds bearable enough.

Windows Phone 7.5 Mango is expected to bring quite a few new useful features to Microsoft's still young mobile OS. Most notably, the system will now be capable of doing multitasking for third-party apps (true multitasking), improved Live Tiles on the homescreen, a universal email inbox, Twitter and LinkedIn integration, cross-service threads (a single thread for your text-based conversation with a certain contact, regardless of the service you used to chat), as well as Internet Explorer 9, with support for HTML5. This is just a part of some of the more important goodies that WP 7.5 will bring, so there will be many other treats coming with it.
