Lumia 930 vs Xperia Z2 vs iPhone 5s: specs comparison
Two of the heavy-hitters Nokia's new Lumia 930 will have have to face, once it gets released this June, are the Sony Xperia Z2 and, naturally, the Apple iPhone 5s. Frankly, these are all top-shelf devices, and the Lumia 930 can fit into this class with remarkable ease. How do we know that? Well, Nokia's upcoming global flagship smartphone will be packed with all the hardware features needed to deliver a seamless user experience. This includes a 5" 1080p screen, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, a 20 MP camera with OIS and more.

Of course, Sony's Xperia Z2 and Apple's iPhone 5s are just as impressive in their grandeur, and since we just can't wait to take a nice, in-depth look at how all these smartphones compare, we simply decided to throw a quick specs match-up to see how things are shaping up. Ladies and gentlemen, behold our specs comparison!

IP certified

IP certified - The IP code indicates the degree of protection against dust and water. The first number represents dust protection, while the second represents water protection. In IP67, for example, 6 means a completely dust-tight device, while 7 means the device can stay immersed in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. In IP68, a higher level of water protection is expected, but exact numbers aren't specified: both depth and continuance are specified by the manufacturer on per device basis.

Pixel density

Pixel density - The pixel density of a display represents the number of pixels over an area of one inch. It’s measured in “pixels per inch”, or ppi. The higher the number, the more detailed and good-looking the display is.

441 ppi424 ppi326 ppi

Technology - There are two main screen technologies currently used in phones and tablets: LCD and AMOLED. The former usually features a light source and liquid crystals, while the latter is based on organic light-emitting diodes. Newer LCD variations like IPS-LCD and Super-LCD allow for very accurate color reproduction and very wide viewing angles, where no significant image quality loss is observed. Current AMOLED screens differ in such a way that they can exhibit much more saturated colors (sometimes too much) and incredibly high contrast levels, which is due to black color being completely black in AMOLED displays.

Focal length (35mm equivalent)

Focal length (35mm equivalent) - The lower (shorter) the focal length number, the wider the shot will be. Conversely, longer focal length cameras produce narrower frames, which can be used for telephoto (zoomed-in) purposes.

My cousin in Taiwan got it for me since it's the first country Sony released Z2 in. It's retail about $800 with current exchange rate. There are Taiwanese seller on eBay that would sell it to you for a little over $800 now. Mine is running on AT&T and works nice so far. Haven't made any call yet since I have been work all day as I am typing this comment haha

every app, every feature runs on dual processor of Apple, for which others need quad core and octa core. The big giants should be shameful of them.

What is shameful is that the iPhone has never had a HD display all this time, let alone a full HD display like the Z2 and 930. A full HD display is pushing 3 times the number of pixels on the screen compared to the iPhone 5,5s,5c.

There is TONS OF low-end and mid range Android and WP phone with dual or even single core processors running all around the world daily without issue, while on the other hand your beloved fruit company OS has far lesser features compare to Android and even WP........

Ok, I don't get your tables:
- iPhone 1Gb RAM
- Sony 3 Gb RAM

They both appear with large RAM rating even though one has three times more. May I ask what is small? 64 Mb perhaps?

3 phones are all good but Sony Z2 for me expandable memory up to 128 gb 20 mp camera plus water proof and dust proof. Rainy season in my country is almost 9-10 months. So water proof is advantage to me.

Reason why i never tried lumia device, Lumia 1520 seems interesting but the dimension my Note 3 is perfect. Any larger and it won't easily fit my pocket smaller than 5.5 and it won't be fun anymore.
